This live edge corner shelf was made from a salvaged Red Alder tree that we pulled off of a farmers field. The Douglas Fir legs were scorched in the Japanese method, Shou Sugi Ban, which was used not only for aesthetics but to make wood less susceptible to fire and keep away insects and rot. Butterfly joints were incorporated for strength and visual appeal. This live edge corner shelf was made from a salvaged Red Alder tree that we pulled off of a farmers field.
