Live Timber Renovations & Furniture Ltd. ("Live Timber," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver your project:

Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and property address
Project details: type of renovation, budget range, timeline, photos, measurements, and design preferences you share with us
Client records: quotes, contracts, invoices, payment records, selections, and warranty information
Website and advertising information: when you submit a form through our website or an ad on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the information you enter on that form

2. Why we collect it

We use your information to:

Respond to your inquiry and contact you about your project
Prepare estimates, proposals, and contracts
Plan, schedule, and complete your renovation
Process payments and keep accurate business and tax records
Handle warranty service after your project is complete
Send occasional updates about our work, only if you have agreed to receive them

3. Consent

By submitting your information through our website, an online ad form, email, or phone, you consent to us using it for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. If you do, we may not be able to provide some services, and we will still keep records the law requires us to keep.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to do your project or run our business:

Trade partners and suppliers working on your project, such as electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers, and designers, who receive only what they need to do their part
Service providers we use to run our business, such as email, scheduling, accounting, and project management software
Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), when you submit a lead form through one of our ads
Government bodies, such as permit offices or tax authorities, when required by law

Some of these service providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

5. How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including password-protected accounts, limited staff access, and secure storage of paper records. Only team members who need your information to do their jobs can access it.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted
Client and project records: at least 7 years after your project ends, for tax, legal, and warranty purposes

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct information that is wrong
Ask us to delete your information, unless we are required to keep it
Unsubscribe from any updates at any time

We will respond to written requests within 30 days.

"Sascha transformed by bathroom by replacing my tub with a beautiful 3 sided walk-in shower. He included suggestions of a few types of products according to my wants/needs and all products are top quality. He also utilized local vendors for a custom glass panel - which I appreciate as I try to shop local/smaller businesses whenever possible. I was kept up to date with the time-line and budget and it was easy for me to access it all on-line. This was important as I was actually out of the province while most of the renos were being done.
