Bermer Stairs Renovation

For this house we designed and built a new curved staircase. The goal was not just functionality but turning the staircase into a focal point – a piece of craftsmanship that adds value to the entire space. We started by ripping out the old staircase and then went for a durable and custom red oak stair tread with white risers. We made a curved guard rail and paired that up with a matching curved handrail for a seamless look. Upgraded the newel posts and balusters to complement the overall aesthetic. It's surprising how these seemingly small details can make a huge difference in the overall feel of the staircase. The staircase, in this case, became more than just a way to get from point A to B – it became a statement piece at the entrance of the home.
